"Next Generation Overfill Sensor"

Clever
Ensures uninterrupted loading — even when an overfill event occurs. Clever Dual-Point Sensing is designed to provide a second level of protection during overfill events. The sensor features two separate detection points inside the tank compartment: a lower point and an upper point. When the liquid reaches the lower detection point, an overfill is detected and the sensor stops generating the “ready-to-load” signal for 1.5 minutes. After this timeout, the upper detection point is automatically activated. If the liquid has not reached this second point, the system allows the loading operation to continue — giving the operator a second chance to complete the process safely. If the operator attempts to continue loading in the same overfilled compartment, the liquid will reach the upper detection point, triggering another shutdown. At this stage, no further loading is permitted. This unique architecture minimizes loading downtime, reduces operational costs, and prevents the risks associated with moving a partially overloaded tanker on public roads. Clever Dual-Point Sensing is a must-have for both terminals and logistics operators who prioritize safety and efficiency.

Alertive
Instant fault visibility — no disassembly, no guesswork. Alertive Visual Diagnostics is designed to eliminate a critical limitation of traditional diagnostic methods used in multi-sensor overfill prevention systems. In conventional 5-wire systems, only the first detected fault can be identified using external test equipment. Multiple faults in the sensor chain cannot be diagnosed simultaneously — each fault only becomes visible after the previous one has been cleared. Additionally, a fault in one sensor can cause incorrect fault indications in the adjacent sensors (previous or next), making fault tracing time-consuming and complex — sometimes requiring hours of manual testing and component swapping. Alertive solves this by providing real-time visual status directly on each sensor. With Alertive, all faults in the chain can be identified simultaneously — without external testers and without system disassembly. Optimized Plug & Play in Saffzen Premium is designed to combine the flexibility of standard wiring with the speed and convenience of modern plug-in systems — while eliminating the key limitations found in both approaches. In standard installations with universal cables, each cable must be inserted into the sensor holder, stripped, correctly matched, terminated with crimp sleeves, and then pressed tightly with a tool. Each sensor requires six such terminations. Later, if the sensor is tested or replaced, cables must be cut, re-stripped, and re-terminated — a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. Traditional factory-made Plug & Play systems avoid this by using pre-terminated cables with connectors — but these require pre-specifying cable lengths when ordering and force full brand lock-in for future replacements. Saffzen Premium’s Optimized Plug & Play system removes these constraints. With Saffzen Premium, any standard universal cable can be transformed into a Plug & Play connection within seconds — without needing special cables or factory orders. This is achieved through a patented solution developed for Saffzen by our long-standing partner Weidmüller: custom-colored, patented Omnimate 4.0 connectors combined with specially designed Saffzen cable glands for secure sealing and fast installation. The result: • You no longer need to specify cable lengths in advance. • You can use existing cables already present on the tanker. • You can install or replace the sensor without changing the rest of the system — full backward and forward compatibility. And all of this can be done safely and comfortably below the tanker, without having to climb on top — significantly reducing both labor time and operational risk. At its core, Saffzen Premium features a modular construction with an easily interchangeable lower housing. In the standard version, the sensor is optimized for use in hydrocarbon (fuel) tankers. When fitted with a stainless steel lower housing, the same sensor is fully suitable for aggressive chemicals — eliminating the need for separate sensor models. This flexibility allows fleet operators and manufacturers to standardize on one core sensor platform — simplifying inventory, reducing spare parts stock, and minimizing training requirements. Additionally, Saffzen Premium is designed to operate seamlessly in mixed-brand environments — fully compatible with other sensors and systems commonly used in the industry. Snap Fit
Lightweight design, tool-free assembly, easy handling. Snap Fit in Saffzen Premium delivers faster, safer, and more convenient sensor assembly — thanks to a purpose-built locking mechanism that eliminates the need for screws or tools. The upper housing of the sensor incorporates an internal trigger mechanism. When the technician grips the upper housing with both hands and pulls the trigger mechanism inward (toward the palm), three precision-engineered metal balls located in the lower housing retract inward — allowing the upper and lower housings to smoothly engage. These three evenly distributed locking points ensure a perfectly balanced and secure connection between the housings — without requiring any external fasteners. Once connected, the housings remain firmly locked in place. The trigger must be deliberately pulled again to release the connection — preventing accidental separation and enhancing operational safety. This design allows technicians to assemble or disassemble the sensor quickly and safely — even while working on top of the tanker — without needing to carry extra tools. Additionally, the Snap Fit mechanism contributes to the sensor’s compact design — ensuring compatibility with various manhole covers and reducing transport and shipping costs. Anti-Theft Design
Prevents unauthorized sensor removal or tampering — protects system integrity. Anti-Theft Design in Saffzen Premium protects the sensor against unauthorized tampering and fuel theft — helping to safeguard both equipment integrity and operational reliability. The sensor’s upper cover is engineered to prevent unauthorized access. It is securely mounted from the inside of the upper housing — preventing removal of the cover without disassembling the upper housing first. This ensures that internal components — including the probe — cannot be accessed or removed without proper procedure. To further enhance security, a specially designed hard rubber locking insert is placed between the Snap Fit trigger mechanism and the upper housing. This insert blocks the trigger from being pulled — effectively locking the Snap Fit mechanism and preventing unauthorized disassembly. The locking insert can be secured using standard security seals available in the market, or using special seals provided to authorized service partners. Use of authorized seals offers additional validation and ensures compliance with Saffzen’s recommended service practices. Anti-Theft Design provides robust protection against fuel theft and unauthorized tampering — while supporting controlled, traceable access for authorized maintenance personnel.

Dynamic Seal & Lock
Enhanced sealing and security — for long-lasting performance. Dynamic Seal & Lock eliminates sealing weaknesses found in traditional installations. Conventional systems rely on a single fixed O-ring. High insertion force and speed during installation can stress the O-ring — leading to potential leaks over time. During probe replacement, pulling the probe back from inside the tank can also damage the O-ring if the cut edge contacts it. To reduce such risks, some installers apply lubricant to the O-ring inside the holder’s bore. Dynamic Seal & Lock solves these problems with a dual-stage sealing approach: • The primary O-ring remains. • A Dynamic secondary seal, mounted directly on the probe tube, is positioned after installation and secured with a wide locking nut. The Dynamic Seal adjusts during assembly — ensuring even compression and absorbing mechanical vibration. All of this is done completely tool-free — making installation and maintenance fast and simple. Dynamic Seal & Lock provides long-term protection against vapor leaks, mechanical stress, and vibration-related wear.
